Attached for group sign-on is a letter opposing the "Expanded Wildlife Extinction Package," a set of 9 damaging anti-ESA bills that are scheduled to receive a hearing in the House Natural Resources Committee this Wednesday (9/26).

This package of legislation would dramatically weaken the Endangered Species Act by undermining the role of science in the listing process, transferring undue authority to state officials, making it more difficult for species to gain federal protections (and easier to lose them), and undercutting citizens' ability to help enforce the law.
